Middle School Summer Running Program
(for grades 6-8 in fall 2018)
High School Summer Running & Strength Training Program
(for grades 9-12 in fall 2018)
  • June 4 - July 26
  • Running Monday, Tuesday,& Thursday at AHS
  • Wednesday off-site (ex. Bluffs Regional Park, Matthews-Winters Park, Green Mountain, etc...)  
  • Running from 7:00am to 8:30am
  • Strength Training Tuesday & Thursday 9-10am

High School High Altitude Camp
(for grades 9-12 in fall 2018)
  • July 22nd - July 27th at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado
  • For any highly motivated high school distance runner who is genuinely interested in improving as a runner and is committed to implementing researched practices (ex. nutrition, sleep, hydration, training methodologies)

Hey XC Runners!

It is our expectation that you are running and strength training all summer long in order to prepare for the regular season beginning on August 13, 2018. We encourage you to take advantage of the Summer Running & Strength Training Program detailed above as a fun way to get/stay plugged into the Arapahoe distance running community and prepare for the upcoming season. If you can't run with us in the summer program, please make sure you are running regularly. We expect you to show up in August ready to run 3-6 miles daily and begin racing on Thursday August 23rd at our Team Scrimmage.

Fall Season Important Dates

  • 7/1/18 - Online Sports Registration Opens (click on the Register link in the navigation bar above)
  • 8/4/18 - Affordable physicals available from 8am to noon at Heritage High School
  • 8/13/18 - First Day of XC Practice... meet by 3:50pm on the hill up against the pool building near the south end of the track

2018 Booster Fees:

$150 for one XC athlete in household

$225 for two XC athletes in same household (sibling discount)

$275 for three XC athletes in same household (sibling discount0

King Soopers Rewards Cards can help you pay for your booster fees.  For every dollar spent, 5% goes to your personal account to be applied towards booster fees. You don't need to wait until the Season starts to start using your cards.  Don't delay, save today!  Contact Stephanie Maxey XC Booster Club Treasurer at ahscctreasurer@gail,com and let her know you would like a King Soopers Reward Card. 

What do the XC Booster Fees Cover?

  • Two coaches for the entire season - we pay for extra coaches for athlete safety.

  • Booster gift for all athletes

  • Team feed pizzas for athletes and coaches

  • End of season banquet meals for all athletes and coaches

  • Season racing singlet (if one is needed)

  • Sandwiches for families and coaches at the annual Family Picnic 

  • Banquet expenses including senior gifts, special recognition awards, coaches thank you item

  • Frugal dinner for athletes who qualify for state championships

  • AHSXC gear for coaches

  • And more 


If paying the Booster Fee represents a financial hardship for your family, do not hesitate to reach out to the Booster President or Treasurer who will keep this situation confidential (emails below). We want your athlete to participate!
